The ÐÂÂ鶹ÊÓƵ Foundation actively fundraises to secure the School’s future and supports its building, scholarship and library programs.
At first, the Patterson Oval wasn’t our main sports field; instead, we used the Harker Oval near the Junior School. In 1966, our only groundsman, Mr Jack Russell, planted grass but much of it didn’t survive. He and others did, however, plant over 1,500 trees and shrubs. In 1968, the school focused on the Patterson Oval, adding a turf wicket. Without a drainage system, it often flooded and turned muddy in winter. It was nicknamed the ‘G.W. Patterson Oval’ in 1976, and by 2015, after many attempts, they finally improved the drainage, making it much better for sports all year round.
