First Girls Football Coach

We are seeking a First Girls Football Coach to oversee the development of the sport at the highest level. The successful applicant should present as a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, organised leader with a passion for Football and a demonstrated capacity to lead both coaches and students.

Working closely with the Director of Sport, the successful applicant will aim to maximise student engagement, develop coaches and establish our inaugural First Girls Football team. The First Girls Football Coach will attend training sessions and games, providing leadership and clear direction.

The successful applicant should have relevant experience and coaching accreditation in the sport and a demonstrated capacity to plan for, implement and maintain high standards of consistent performance and engagement.

Prior successful experience in school sport programs will be highly regarded.

Please note this is not a teaching position and the successful candidate must be available for Monday and Wednesday training sessions between the hours of 3.30pm - 5.00pm and Saturday AGSV games between 10am and 1pm.  Pre-season, practice games and any additional sessional may be planned in consultation with the Head of Football / Director of Sport.  Administrative and planning hours (outside of training / game sessions) will also be considered part of the role each week and will be paid accordingly.

  • Punctual attendance at training and games
  • Commitment to building positive relationships with students
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Football (skill, tactical awareness, conditioning and injury management) to players including a commitment to update skills to reflect current best practice
  • A positive and engaging approach to interactions with parents, students and YVG staff
  • Timely communication to members of the Sport Department when required
  • Efficient and timely management of equipment
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model for students
  • Capacity to accept, provide and utilise feedback to improve coaching and student performance
  • Intention to promote excellence and high performance for the First Football team

Reporting to the Director of Sport, this is a varied and challenging role in a busy area of the School.  An hourly rate commensurate with experience will be offered.  Commencing 15 November 2025, the role will be contracted until the end of the AGSV season.
